LifeHouse Home Builders LLC (“LifeHouse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a custom home builder serving Stanly, Cabarrus, and Montgomery Counties and the greater Charlotte area. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through BuildWithLifeHouse.com and in the course of doing business with you, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have — including how our text messaging (SMS) program works and how to opt out of it.

Information we collect

We only collect information that helps us respond to you and build your home. Specifically:

• Information you give us directly. When you fill out our contact form, call us, text us, or email us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the location where you're looking to build, and whatever you tell us about your project. If you check the SMS consent box on our contact form, we also record that consent along with the date and time it was given.
• Information from working together. If you become a client, we collect the information needed to plan, permit, finance, and build your home — such as your mailing address, lot or property details, plan selections, allowance and selection decisions, and correspondence with you and your lender, designer, or agent.
• Website usage information. When you visit BuildWithLifeHouse.com, standard technical information is collected automatically, including your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or payment card information through this website. We do not buy, rent, or use purchased contact lists or third-party lead lists for text messaging.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry by phone, email, or — if you have opted in — text message.
• To schedule and coordinate calls, consultations, and site visits.
• To prepare estimates, plans, selections, and contracts, and to build and warranty your home.
• To send you build progress updates and to request or deliver documents related to your project.
• To operate, maintain, and improve our website.
• To keep records of consent and communications, and to comply with our legal, tax, licensing, and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to anyone for their own marketing purposes.

Text messaging (SMS) — consent, message types, and opt-out

Consent. We send text messages only to people who have given us express consent to receive them. You may give consent by checking the optional SMS consent box on our contact form, by telling us in writing or verbally that we may text you, or by texting us first. The consent checkbox on our contact form is optional and unchecked by default — providing your phone number alone does not opt you in, and consent to receive text messages is never a condition of doing business with us or of any purchase.

Types of messages we send. If you opt in, LifeHouse Home Builders LLC may send you:

• Conversational messages — direct, back-and-forth replies to questions and inquiries you send us.
• Informational messages — appointment and site-visit scheduling and confirmations, build progress updates, and requests for or delivery of documents related to your project.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not send automated bulk text campaigns.

Message frequency. Messaging frequency may vary and depends on your conversation with us and the stage of your project.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. LifeHouse does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates may apply. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.

How to opt out. You can stop receiving text messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. We will honor the request and send one confirmation message that no further texts will be sent. You may also opt out — or ask to be removed from any of our communications — by emailing Contact@BuildWithLifeHouse.com or calling (704) 772-1840. Opting out of text messages does not affect your ability to reach us by phone or email.

Delivery. Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messaging is not a secure or reliable channel for urgent or time-critical matters — please call us instead.

How we share information

We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers who work on our behalf. We use a small number of vendors to run the business — our website and form host (Netlify), our email and spreadsheet tools (Google Workspace, including Gmail and Google Sheets, where we keep track of inquiries), our website analytics provider (Google Analytics), and our business phone and text messaging provider. These providers may process your information only to provide services to us, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Text messaging information is additionally protected as described in Section 3.
• Trade partners and professionals on your project. If you become a client, we may share the information necessary to do the work with the subcontractors, suppliers, designers, surveyors, inspectors, lenders, closing attorneys, and permitting authorities involved in your build — and only what each of them needs.
• Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our clients or others.
• Business transfer. If LifeHouse is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

Cookies and analytics

BuildWithLifeHouse.com uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site — for example, which pages are most viewed and roughly where visitors are located. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data such as IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited. We use this information in aggregate to improve the website; we do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine analytics data with the contact information you submit.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing Google's browser opt-out add-on. We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals at this time. We do not use advertising or retargeting pixels on this site.

How long we keep information, and how we protect it

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterward in case you come back to us. Client and project records, including contracts and warranty records, are kept as long as required for our business, warranty, tax, and legal obligations. Records of SMS consent and opt-out requests are kept for as long as we message you and afterward as needed to demonstrate compliance.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted website connections and access-controlled accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security or financial account numbers by text, email, or through our contact form.

Your choices and rights

• Text messages. Reply STOP to any message, or email or call us, to stop receiving texts.
• Email. Ask us to stop emailing you and we will, other than messages necessary for an active project or contract.
• Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will honor the request unless we are required or permitted by law to keep it — for example, contract, warranty, tax, or consent records.

Children

This website, our services, and our text messages are not directed to anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Terms of use and SMS terms

The content on BuildWithLifeHouse.com — including photographs of our completed homes, plan descriptions, and pricing or availability information — is provided for general information only. Plans, specifications, materials, pricing, and availability are subject to change without notice, and photographs may show optional features or selections that are not included in a base price. Nothing on this website is an offer, a contract, or a guarantee of price, availability, or schedule; the terms of any project are set only by a signed written agreement between you and LifeHouse Home Builders LLC. All site content, including text, photographs, and our name and logos, is our property or used with permission and may not be reproduced without our written consent.

By opting in to text messages, you agree to the SMS terms set out in Section 3 above: the message types described there, that messaging frequency may vary, that message and data rates may apply, that you may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for support at any time, and that message delivery depends on your carrier and is not guaranteed. You represent that you are the subscriber or authorized user of the phone number you provide, and you agree to let us know if that number changes or is no longer yours. We use this website and our services in compliance with applicable law and the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices.

This Privacy Policy and these terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
